NAO ROBOT ACTIVIST

An Intelligent & Interactive Robot Educator

The NAO Robot has been used from the start as the platform for this project since 2015 when the SUHAKAM-Monash project began. This 58 cm humanoid bot fitted with a large array of advanced components have been utilized for various purposes but specifically in research, education and entertainment.

 

It has 4 directional microphones and loudspeakers installed within its system which enables Nao to receive instructions or questions and provide appropriate responses. With two high definition cameras installed within its systems, Nao is able to recognize objects and the environment around it providing more interactive capabilities. Nao also has the ability to access the internet to search for information and provide feedback to the user.

 

The Nao robot will be utilized as an interactive and educational medium between SUHAKAM and the audience by delivering speeches on Child Rights as well as interacting with the audience with simple question & answer session.
